Let us introduce you "Mayo Oldiri Safaris", for two kinds of Africa hunts; Forest and Savannah . Since 1997 we have been offering great hunts in our first owned Savannah camp, called "Mayo Oldiri". This modern accommodation camp is located between two National Parks: "Bouba Njida" and " La Benoue", at wich can expect you to run into either the unique North Cameroon Derby Eland or the amazing Giant Topi, as well as get surprised by a herd of Elephants, Western Roans, Northwestern Buffalos, Hippos, Lions, etc.

We have four other Savannah camps in wich to offer you the same kind of spectacular hunts. Thus, in 1999 an old camp with plenty of a variety of games was incorporated: it is called "Mayo Nduell". Then, at the beginning of 2001, we started to operate in a third area named "Mayo Vaimba" characterised by being full of Elands in the early season. Another area:"Rey Bouba" savannah camp is about to be opened as a brand new hunting area with brand new, nice accommodations.
Finally on 2005, we got our fifth savannah camp called "Djibao" located at the Easter border of Bouba Ndjida National Park. A new eland SCI record has been hunted there on February 05, so we got this camp in order to give you the best opportunities to get nice elands and more hunting licences for it.

Having four different savannah camps allows us to offer our clients the most important hunting zone in North Cameroon Savannah with at least double of licenses per animal than any other company. If you are interested, please do not hesitate to contact us and book for an unforgettable Savannah Safari at any time during the dry season, meaning, from Christmas to the end of May.

On the other hand, at the end of year 2000 we acquired from the Cameroon Government the virgin forest area called "The Boumba" at which you can find a very important number of Bongos with the highest quality trophies, and excellent Forest Elephant trophies, as well. Furthermore, "The Boumba" forest accounts for 40pct. of the total amount of licences granted by the Cameroon Government to hunt Dwarf Buffalos and Forest Sitatungas.
Because of "The Boumba" Forest having been a completely isolated and remote area, where you would need a pirogue to go through, there is an abundant diversity of animals. Therefore, you can easily find all kinds of Duikers, Bates Pygmi Antelope, Bush Pig, and with a little bit of chance, even the Giant Forest Hog. In 2002 we incorporated another forest area called "Lognia", located just in the border of Cameroon with Congo and R.C.A. and protected by the Lobeke National Park. This is a classical bongo hunting area: the forest crossed by old forestal routes.
On 2004, we incorporated our third forest area called DJA, near Dja National Park, where nobody hunted before us, even the poaches. For the moment we have there only one acceptable flying camp; and there are not routes. After exploring one part of the area we thing the zone is excellent for sitatunga. But to hunt there is really hard, and only one client could be attend in each safari.
On 2005 we got our fourth forest area called "Ndama".

Therefore if you would like to enjoy a Forest Safari, just scheduled a date for the Forest Season starting in mid March and going on until end July. During these months a three-hour-daily-rain wets the ground allowing hunters to follow the trucks and prevent them from making noise by walking on a cap of dry leaves. Although it normally rains at night, we can not guarantee you not arriving hardly wet to the camp.
Finally , for both kinds of safaris, forest and savannah, "Mayo Oldiri Safaris" guarantees you hunting opportunities to shoot the animals you would be interested in.
